Manifested in the countryside of Norway, later migrating to Oslo, 54 was created in 2004 with a common interest for progressive extreme music, and a fascination for the analytical essence of theoretical mathematics.
As friends we gathered to make this fractal flower grow, and within a year we had the first demo “PHI” completed. Luckily, life happens, and family ties and responsibilities spread us to different sides of Europe.
As we grew, we learned more about life, music and our selves, and so did the music. We returned from the Hero’s Journey back to where it began. Love for the concept of 54 remained in the back of our heads, and finally in 2024 we concluded it was time to finish the chapter started 20 years earlier, and release the debut album.
We’ve grown.
We’ve repeatedly circled the sun.
We’ve reproduced in due time.
We’ve shaken the Earthly dirt from our coats and embraced the eternal stardust at our core.
We’ve evolved from the humble beings we were into 54.
